Digital Banking Security
Let's chat about the security of our digital banking platform!
Our Digital Banking platform is safe and secure and provides the best security available for a digital banking site. Let’s break down the security measures in place that protect the privacy and security of our members' accounts and information.
Your information is safe with us.
We carefully control who can access member information, financial systems, and databases to ensure your safety.
Automatic log-out.
If you haven't used your online banking for 15 minutes, we'll log you out automatically to keep your account secure.
Your privacy matters.
When we send you a text message or email through connectFirst mobile banking, we only use the nicknames you've set up. Your account number will never be sent, so you don't have to worry about it being stored in your phone.
We've got your back.
We use the latest security tools to protect our systems and your information, so you can rest easy knowing that we have strong defences in place.
Alerts to keep you informed.
We'll send you real-time security and transaction alerts so you're always aware of your account activity.
Easy and secure access.
Our mobile apps use your phone's built-in security features, like face and fingerprint recognition, to ensure that only you can access your mobile banking.
Data in transit protected.
When your information travels between your computer and our servers, we scramble it and make it unreadable to anyone else.
Extra protection for important actions.
We add an extra verification step that members need to complete for critical activities and transactions.
You're in control.
Your account is only accessible with your unique username and password, so you have exclusive access to your account.

Here are some of the ways you can help:
- Keep your web browser updated: The latest version of your web browser includes advanced security features designed to provide enhanced protection while you browse the Internet.
- Know your security options: During onboarding, you will receive guides explaining the security measures available within our digital banking platform. Take the time to familiarize yourself with these options. Additionally, make sure to use security features on your device, such as enabling password protection, Touch ID or Face ID, and disabling your Bluetooth connection when not in use to prevent potential attacks.
- Only download apps from trusted sources: Exclusively download applications from reliable sources, such as the Apple App Store for iPhone users and the Google Play Store for Android users.
- Don’t email or text banking information: Never send sensitive account information such as account numbers, passwords, or any combination of information that can be used to steal your identity via text message or email.
- Avoid using public wireless access points to access your online banking: Where possible, avoid using public access points set up for shared public purposes, such as internet cafes—these networks are generally not very secure. Use the cellular network instead of public Wi-Fi to do online banking.
- Disable Mobile Banking if your phone is lost or stolen (for Text and Alerts): If you’ve misplaced your mobile phone, you can disable text banking and alerts by visiting the settings page within connectFirst online and mobile banking. If you locate your mobile phone, just go online to enable the feature.
